My 28th Birthday

Happy Birthday to me today! Although I had to spend it in my condo laying on my bed, I tried to make the best of it. I got lots of phone calls and texts wishing me a happy bday and to hope that i'm feeling better so thank you all for that.

Today I did a few things. I woke up with the daunting task of going to water my neighbors flowers, which I had told him I would do while he is gone for a month before my back/leg got so bad. Well as you know I have a tendency to kill all living things, especially flowers and plants. Ya, I've officially killed one set of my neighbors flowers! ARGH, now what I am going to do about it? My sister came up with the idea that we'll go buy 'matching' flowers and replace them, but ah, what a hassle. I think i've only killed the one set so far and I watered them today so i'm hoping for a flower miracle! So I watered those.

I also picked up the dead toad that died of heat stroke in my garage over the last two days! I noticed him in there a few days ago but just thought he'd hop out if I left the garage door open. Well no, I guess he wasn't that smart. So I think he pretty much cooked to death since its been kinda hot the last few days. Yucko!

Then Jeremy brought over my favorite Red Robin salad (yes they do take out!) and gave me my birthday present..the new Staind cd. So that was exciting. Then I got to watch 5 hours of Unwrapped on the Food Network. I love that show! Its hosted by Marc Summers (yes from Double Dare) and it takes an inside look at how different foods are made. My favorite was how M&Ms and Cheetos are made. Then of course I have been craving cheetos since I saw that this afternoon!! Fun stuff!!

Then my dad, sister and tyler brought me over my birthday cake, a nice badger cake, and my presents. I got a gift card to Hobby Lobby and my dad gave me money to buy whatever I want. So we ate cake and chatted. They all left a little bit ago and here I sit, blogging and watching tv.

So not the most eventful birthday but there isn't much I can do really. I'm hoping for a real birthday celebration next weekend!
