Recovering Nicely

Surgery went well and now i'm at home recovering nicely. The surgery itself went pretty well I think. The Dr said I had a pretty bad disc in there is he had to take most of it out. No biggie I guess, I just need to take extra care in recovery since now I went from having a 28 yr old disc to a 56 yr old disc. But he said it went well. I woke up nicely and didn't get sick or anything which I was nervous about. I came home on Thursday and have been here since, getting in and out of bed on my own now and walking around my place.

I have NO PAIN in my leg and butt which is amazing! I have pretty bad back pain but that was expected. This pain is actually controllable by the pain pills so that's been nice. So two more weeks of bed rest and I should feel almost normal. I'm taking it slow but its been nice to be able to sit up and actually lay on my back, give my elbows a rest!

I can't wait to get back into the swing of things and start having fun again. I'm bummed that i'm missing some events the next few weeks but I know I have some fun ones to look forward too so i'm trying to focus on those.
