Photo of the Week Plus

Here's to my friend Tina who is on her way to Milwaukee to pick up her fiance Curt who has returned from his tour in Iraq, unharmed and healthy. He is stationed in Hawaii and she is picking him up tomorrow and coming to Madison for a special party Saturday night to say Hi and Goodbye all at the same time. Next week, the two of them will be off to Michigan to see his family before leaving to make their home in Hawaii until his service is over. I am so glad these two met and found each other. And I know they are excited to see each other (its been 9 months!!).

So this is a double entry for me because I am very very sad that I will not get to see my friend until Jan when me and a few others fly out to Hawaii for their wedding. I look forward to seeing the two of them on Saturday but know it will be an emotional night (considering i'm already tearing up right now just thinking about having to say 'see ya later' as Tina puts it). I'm so happy for them but also am sad that my friend for years and years is moving away. Ah, it reminds me that life goes on and people move on.

I do know they'll be back when Curt's service is over and I look forward to that!! Cheers to you two and I look forward to the party on Saturday!! I won't be drinking but will have some sparkling juice in celebration!!
